Summer Wardrobe Edit

Today I thought I'd share some of my summer wardrobe staples. These are pieces that I'll mix and match with other pieces in my wardrobe all summer long. They're versatile and effortless, and a mix of new and old. Read on for all of the details.

The Weekend Edit Vol. 3

Happy weekend! I'm taking it easy today after an eventful day yesterday. A close family friend got married, and it was the most amazing wedding. I had a great time catching up with people I haven't seen in years, and spending time with my folks and sister. If you follow along on instagram, I posted a bunch of snippets throughout the night.

I wish I had found this while I was still a student! I was always the student who went absolutely mad studying in the library. It was too silent. Home studying didn't fare too well either. I thrived in coffee shops (I'm looking at you Starbucks). Coffitivity gives you the coffee shop background noise, from the convenience of your own computer. Cool!

I love these Beauty Chat videos that Anna and Lily do.

Speaking of Anna, probably my biggest enabler, I've not got my eye on the Benefit Dream Screen after this post.

Emily Schuman, the queen of sophisticated cool, has done it again with this great post on tips for entertaining. Can't wait to host a dinner party at my place!

How was your weekend?

MAC Lady Danger

I have a pretty unhealthy obsession with lip products. That being said, there is ALWAYS room for more in my opinion, and I have a new favourite combo to prove it!

CND Vinylux for a lasting manicure

I have a really hard time with manicures. I have really supple (but very healthy) nails that bend very easily. They rarely break, but it causes nail polish to chip really easily. Enter summer into the equation, with the outdoor work, the copious amounts of time in the pool, and just more wear and tear in general, and a manicure will barely last 48 hours. The CND Vinylux polishes are my summer saviours! Read on for more details.

The Weekend Edit Vol. 2

Happy Father's Day weekend! This weekend was spent relaxing out in the country with my sister and folks. There's something so peaceful about spending time at our cottage, sleeping, reading, baking, feeding the local chipmunks. I've got a busy couple weeks ahead, so some down time was well warranted.

Here are my favourites from this week.

The commencement speech by Shonda Rhimes for Dartmouth's Class of 2014 was truly inspiring. Get out there and do something about your dreams!

Bloggers are definitely my biggest enablers, and Essie Button's "Bloggers Made Me Do It" feature is a fantastic idea.

Lisa Eldridge's new video took my girl crush on Alexa Chung to a whole new level.

I think last week's non-fiction pick was from Slate as well, but hey, who cares. I had to mention this great piece on miniature crime scenes. CSI fans, you're welcome.

Shout out to fellow Canadian blogger Joëlle from La Petite Noob on making Lauren Conrad's Chic of the Week! Congrats!

The 82nd 24 Heures du Mans ran this weekend. Audi triumphed again in the LMP1 class, but with Porsche back in the line-up for the first time since '98, they gave them a pretty good run for their money. This article on the evolution of Le Mans is pretty sweet.

The Weekend Edit Vol. 1

I quite like these types of posts on other blogs, so I decided to try it out for myself. Here's a roundup of my week on the internet, and what went down this weekend.

I'm having a moment with printed jumpsuits, and I'm loving this outfit from Julia.

Cara always has the most amazing outfits, and it was nice to see a more personal side with the last picture of this post.

Did I mention that I'm having a moment with jumpsuits? I dying to get my hands on this one.

I'm currently lusting over the Too Faced Neutral Eye Shadow Collection that has been all over the place lately. I keep trying to tell myself that I really don't need another neutral eye palette...or do I...

I dove into #GIRLBOSS this weekend after reading this piece from New York Magazine. A must read.

And for my inner nerd, this editorial on the most famous man in Neuroscience, Phineas Gage, was the perfect way to cap off the week.

Saturday was pretty action packed with a pool party (and plenty of floating beer pong), followed by a birthday supper for my bestie. Took it easy today by soaking up some rays, dips in the pool, and watching the Canadian Grand Prix (Ricciardo's pass on the 68th lap? Insane!) on my parents gigantor screen. Summer has arrived!

10 Facts About Moi!

Hallelujah it's Friday! For today's post, I decided to share a little more about myself.

DIY Cord Taco

There's nothing I hate more than grabbing my earbuds from my purse, only to find them all tangled up in my wallet and my keys. Next thing you know, I've pulled half the contents out of my purse onto the ground. This is probably how I lost my bus pass. So I decided to make this super quick DIY cord taco this weekend. Read on for full instructions.
