Date Night 3 Different Ways

1.12.14

So excited to be collaborating on today's post with Joelle from La Petite Noob and Emily from Moonlight Chai! We're here to give you 3 different ideas for a date night in winter, so be sure to check out their posts as well.

Winter can be a tough season to dress for, especially when Mother Nature is having a moment and can't make up her mind. Bring date night into the mix, and choosing an outfit becomes that much more difficult. Well lucky for you, we've got 3 different ideas for date night dressing! Keep reading for more photos and outfit details!

Skirt - Club Monaco (old, similar), Sweater - Lululemon (old, similar), Scarf - Zara (old, similar), Necklace - Madewell, Boots - Hunter, Bag - Mackage, Ring - Na Hoku (retired style)

For me, date night is all about being cute and feminine, but also comfortable. In winter, I want to make sure I'm warm and cozy as well. Layers are key, with touches of feminine detail here and there.

I've had this sweater from Lululemon for ages, and it's still one of my all-time favourites. It has a V-neck on one side and a boat-neck on the other (and it's also reversible to grey on the inside, for a total of 4 different ways to wear it!). I prefer to wear the V-neck in the back as I find it adds a cute, feminine touch. Add a thick, cozy blanket scarf and a skater skirt and you've got the perfect cute outfit!

Now, I realize Hunter boots may be controversial for a "date night", but hear me out. Snow in Montreal is pretty and fluffy for all of 5 seconds before it turns to mucky slush. The last thing I want to do when out for a fun night is worry about my footwear! This bright red pair adds a happy punch of colour to any outfit.

Joelle and Emily's outfits are spot on, so be sure to head over to their blogs to check out their ideas for a date night outfit, and to show em some love!

Follow along with Joelle as she completes her list of 30 Things To Do Before 30, and she's one of my go-to blogs for outfit inspiration. Make sure to follow along with her beautiful Instagram feed and Twitter too!

Emily's lifestyle blog is a great mix of fashion, beauty, and like me is a lover of yoga. Her photography is also always spot on (love her dreamy backgrounds)! Check out her gorgeous Instagram feed and Twitter too!

So happy to have collaborated with these lovely ladies today :)
