Beauty Bits Vol. 5

13.2.15

I know my most recent Beauty Bits post wasn't all that long ago...but what can I say, the beauty purchases have just been sucking me in lately! This selection is definitely full of splurges, but they've been in heavy rotation as of late. Keep reading to hear what I think!

Clarins Extra Comfort Foundation: My skin has really taken a toll this winter with the extreme cold (I swear it gets worse and worse every year!). Tinted moisturizers just don't cut it for me usually, and I don't want to be slathering on a bunch of moisturizer and THEN a foundation on top. This foundation was recommended to me by a friend, and I'll admit, this oily skinned gal was a bit hesitant at first. But now I love it! [With the help of Urban Decay's De-Slick] It's honestly one of the best foundations I've ever used and makes my skin look amazing. I think that's because it's really skincare. It's basically Clarins' Extra Comfort cream, with pigment added. I know this won't work for me in the summer, so I'm cherishing my time with it now. *Insert emoji of heart eyes here*

Clarins Instant Concealer: This is an Anna-inspired purchase, and it's as wonderful as she says it is. It immediately brightens up my under eyes and adds a radiance to my skin. Not gonna lie, I kind of use this all over my face. And it's awesome.

Hourglass Film Noir Mascara: I tend to steer clear of high end mascara because drugstore varieties work just fine for me (I'm looking at you Covergirl Clump Crusher!). But after using a sample of this while in Brussels, I decided to pick up a full size. It's a rather wet formula that makes it easy to build up some impressive volume, but it never clumps so you always have defined length. This gets it mega bonus points in my books. Will I repurchase? Probably not, but I'm enjoying this tube while I have it.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed: Another Anna-inspired purchase, and I've been meaning to get my hands on it for a while. I'm picky with blush, and don't really like it. This is such a natural flush that I've actually been reaching for it every. single. day.

Have you tried any of these products out? What are your recent beauty purchases?
