Marc Jacobs Beauty Spring 2015

20.3.15

Certain beauty launches excited me, and others don't. One brand that has consistently gotten me checking in at Sephora after work every day, waiting for the shelves to be stocked with the new release, is Marc Jacobs Beauty. Yes, there have been some hits as well as some misses with the brand, but nonetheless, they know how to keep you intrigued. Marc Jacobs Beauty has some some exciting new launches for spring, so keep reading to check them out!

New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel: Sheer lip products seem to be all the rage these days, and so Marc Jacobs Beauty jumped right on that bandwagon with their own take. Called the New Nudes, the range is supposed to contain a neutral shade that is flattering for everyone. I picked up "Eat Cake" and it's a perfect pinky My-Lips-But-Better. Not exactly sheer, but not full coverage either, and I really like the comfortable formula.

(P)Outliner Longwear Lip Pencil: I picked up the shade Honey Bun as it seemed the closest shade to my actual lip colour. I don't notice that it is any longer wearing than my other lip liners, but who could resist this cute packaging! Would I re-purchase, probably not as there isn't anything special about it.

Le Marc Lip Creme: I grabbed the shade Core Cora as a gorgeous orangey-red (I can't seem to have enough of those shades!) and this product really lives up to its hype. Long wearing, comfortable, smooth. The Le Marc Lip Cremes seem to have it all! I'll definitely be checking out more of these shades.

#Instamarc Light Filtering Contour Powder: Ah, I saved the best for last. Contouring is another hot topic in the beauty world as of late, and I've been on the hunt for the perfect contour shade for my skin tone. Most come off too orange, with not enough grey undertones. And when paired with a highlight, the highlights are usually too glittery for my taste. The #Instamarc powder is BEAUTIFUL. I took this with me to Toronto for my Auto Show tour and the girls were raving every day about how flawless my face looked. Definitely a real-life instagram filter.

The Shape Contour Brush No. 15: This is the brush that was released to go with the #Instamarc powder. Not a necessity, but since I didn't have a contour brush, I decided to pick it up. I like how dense it is as I find it makes it really easy to blend everything out and erase any harsh lines. Thumbs up!

What do you think of Marc Jacobs Beauty's spring releases? Is there anything you're looking to try out?
