Fall - Face Of The Day

8.10.15

I'll be the first to admit it, I get very lazy with my makeup routine during the summer months. My main goal is to make sure it all stays on my face in the humidity. So when the cooler weather starts to roll in, I'm ready to embrace a little extra oomph in my look. Maroon + copper is a super hot color duo right now, framed with some bold brows. Here's my interpretation of these trends!

I'm quite smitten with this new base combo (full review coming soon!) of the Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Primer + Re(marc)able Foundation. I think it's probably already reached holy grail status in my books! And because it's quite matte, I like to brighten things up by using a dewy, lightweight concealer, and the Armani Maestro Eraser is a great pick. Top it all off with my favourite setting powder, the Too Faced Primed & Poreless powder.

Contouring is still in this season, and I'm absolutely in love with my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze + Glow. Totally worth the splurge! For blush, I used the Whisper end of my Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil Duo.

Fall is a great time to bring out a more sultry eye look, so I used my Charlotte Tilbury palette in Dolce Vita. Another splurge that is totally worth it! These eyeshadows are probably the best quality ones I own. I used Charlotte Tilbury Barbarella Brown eyeliner, and Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara to finish it off. Bold brows are in this season, and the new Nudestix Eyebrow Stylus is fab for creating envious brows (review coming next week!).

Finally, with a more glam eye look, I like to keep a neutral lip, so I used the Mystic end of my Nudestix Lip + Cheek Eye Pencil. Voila!

This is a great almost-neutral look for easing your way into the colder weather. What beauty trends are you loving for this season? Anyone else as obsessed as I am with maroon/burgundy?

  1. Love this! Those products are all on my wish list. I usually gravitate towards maroons and goldy browns for my eyes, too.
And I am still obsessing over my "Bitch Perfect" lipstick.

    1. If you don't have Dolce Vita, you should definitely go check it out. It's such a lovely, versatile palette. And "Bitch Perfect" is SUCH a great colour! I'm going to be in Toronto next weekend, and the counter at Holt Renfrew is on my list!
